Teaching Your Kids How to Ride a Mini Bike Safely…

There is a huge demand for these bikes and the users are mostly children or teenagers. They simply wish to experience how racers feel when competing on the track. Or they have an acquired passion towards bike racing and these children and teenagers wish to compete or become professional racers themselves. As a parent and adult you have to teach these kids about the proper safety and laws passed concerning the use of these mini bikes. Here are some of the safety precautions you must teach them and some laws about using these mini vehicles.

I. Always let your kids wear proper safety gear whenever riding these minis. They have to learn about how to time their clutching and how to expect turns to time their breaks so that they might not get into an accident. Injuries that happen in the track are not new you just have to teach your kids on how to be extra careful whenever competitive, just training or practicing. Teach your kids how to react quickly in an instance that an accident may occur. Children that age from 7-14 are those that are heavily interested in racing and in tinkering motorbikes.

II . Adult supervision is a must when letting your children ride in these mini bikes . If your kid is just starting out with a mini bike, teach them how to maneuver it around the track. You are the guide and the teacher so make sure that you do research about mini bikes and how to ride it around the track. Better yet you need to be a mini bike enthusiast or simply own a motorcycle so you are able to teach your kids about how to handle and how to maneuver their mini motorbikes well. Teach them about proper clutching and gearing, how to time their clutching on making turns or going through small obstacles.

III . As an adult or as the one observing the kids on the track, always be alert and never take your eyes off the children who are in the track. There are times that their bikes might stall or have flat tires or have a minor accident. Keep a close eye on them so you will immediately come to their aid whenever they need your help. Always come prepared with a first aid kit or med kit and tools or spare tires whenever your child is either competitive in races or simply training or practicing in the circuit.

IV . Remind your kids that there are strict laws against these mini bikes and when they are talking breaking them either either they pay a huge fine or be held for a disciplinary action. An important law is to always wear the proper safety gear, for example a helmet, elbow and knee pads, gloves and pants. There is also a law that prevails the use of these mini bikes on public roads, highways, freeways and sidewalks. If used in other countries breaking these laws, the police or traffic authorities have the right to destroy these vehicles in front of the owner.
